Directions by Road

Deans Lane forms part of the A5109 as it travels SW through Edgware, Burnt Oak and Colindale from the A1/A41 junction at Apex Corner (Northway circus).

Apex Corner can be reached by leaving the M25 at junction 23 (South Mimms) and travelling S on the A1. Apex Corner is the second roundabout on this route. The A5109 is straight across (2nd exit) the roundabout if coming from the North.
It is signed for Edgware.

From the southbound M1 leave at j4 (Edgware) onto the A41. At the next roundabout keep left remaining on the A41 in the direction of Mill Hill. Continue through 2 sets of traffic lights until you reach the roundabout at Apex Corner.
Turn right here (3rd exit) into the A5109.

If travelling from the westbound A406 (North Circular road), join the A1 at Finchley and travel North in the direction of Mill Hill. After the 2nd set of traffic lights you will approach j2 of the M1, please avoid the M1 !! Stay on the A1, this junction is called Fiveways corner and at this point the northbound A1 and A41 merge. Continue North on this road crossing the first roundabout. Apex Corner is the 2nd roundabout, turn left here into the A5109, in the direction of Edgware.

From the eastbound A406 (North Circular road), join the northbound A41 at Brent Cross. Follow this road through 4 sets of traffic lights, at which point the A41 merges with the northbound A1 at Fiveways corner. Continue North on this road crossing the first roundabout. Apex Corner is the 2nd roundabout, turn left here into the A5109, in the direction of Edgware.

From Apex Corner follow the A5109 (Selvage Lane) for 700 yards, until you reach a pair of mini-roundabouts. Continue straight across these (2nd exit, then 1st) towards Burnt Oak. After 150 yards the A5109 (now Deans Lane) bends to the right and becomes a dual carriageway, at the same time John Keble church and hall will appear on your left.
Church Close is the next left turn.

The nearest stations are: Mill Hill Broadway, on the St. Pancras to Bedford Thameslink service and Burnt Oak or Edgware on the London Underground Northern line (Edgware branch).
All 3 stations have a mini-cab office.

The 221 bus also passes Mill Hill East station on the LU Northern line (High Barnet branch) and Bounds Green station on the LU Piccadilly line but these are considerably further away.

From Mill Hill Broadway take the 221,240 or 303 bus towards Edgware.
If on the 303 get off at the third bus stop, at the corner of Sefton Avenue, walk on 50 yards down Deans Lane and turn into Church Close.
If on the 221 or 240 alight at the third bus stop (Cloister Gdns), opposite the Harvest petrol station. Walk back to the mini-roundabout and turn right into Deans Lane. Follow this for 200 yards, then cross into Church Close.

From Edgware take the 221, 240 or 292 bus.
Get off at the 4th stop (Cloister Gdns), adjacent to the Harvest petrol station,
walk on to the mini-roundabout and cross into Deans Lane.
Continue down Deans Lane for 200 yards, then cross into Church Close.

There is no direct bus from Burnt Oak.
